The bad teeth are huge problem these days it is a vital part of our each day life and it is a part of us. Without our teeth it will become tough to break down the food into fine pieces which further helps us for digestion. Another very important role played by teeth is that it is responsible for a lovely smile. When a person passes with the issue of improper teeth it affects the smile. These troubles can be faced by any generation, a child and an adult both can face the same problems. A lot of people have bad set of teeth that seem to be due to neglecting oral health and eating excessive sweets. Sweets decay the teeth. Yet, there is a solution of these problems. Braces are the answer of these troubles. Bracers are used to correct the shape of the teeth.
The braces work by putting pressure on the teeth. Four techniques are used for making the braces works are, using brackets, bonding material, arch wire and ligature elastic this procedure is also known as O-ring. The progress of the teeth happens after putting pressure on the brackets and the teeth. Sometime it becomes hard to set or move a exact tooth in a specific direction, the rubber bands are used to solve the problems. Braces continuously put stress on the teeth to place it in the right place. The procedure is done slowly to avoid loss of teeth. That is why it takes such a long time of approximately two and a half years. The whole procedure helps the new bone to grow to give support to the loosen teeth.
The initial step is to look whether the braces are appropriate for the patient or not. The doctors consult with the patient and look after the setting of the teeth. The x-rays are taken to be sure about the condition the teeth. In the process the brackets will be applied with dental cement and further cured with the help of the light in order to harden it. This procedure takes few seconds per teeth to complete. In some cases there is very small space in the mouth for all teeth. There are two procedures to solve this problem. One is extortion which means some teeth are moved in order to create space and other is expansion where the arch is made larger by using palatal expander. The braces should be adjusted every month.
The advantage of braces is that it gives a proper shape to the teeth. Teeth may look abnormal in the face and braces help it locates to the proper place. One main drawback is the wearing of the braces. The braces are uncomfortable as it is endlessly with us. Yet, little corporation will give a charming smile lifelong.
