Ratchet Straps, trucks and flat back lorries are the three most important items when transporting heavy loads - business cargos, extreme sports vehicles, etc. Normal everyday cars just aren't ideal for this. You cannot just strap a jet ski or similar item to the back of your car. With regards to the straps, they must be a good quality heavy duty ratchet type. This means that its breaking strength is three times its working load limit.

On the configuration category, tie down straps have type, material, and end. There are several types of straps available, but the most common types are the loops straps, also known as endless ratchet straps and the two-piece straps, known as a standard ratchet strap. Loop straps are a single strap that is looped around the cargo. Then, its two ends are brought together to be fastened and provide tension. Two-piece straps are a single construction made up of two pieces of webbing that are connected to one area surrounding the cargo and then, connected to each other. Materials include cotton, nylon, polyester, polypropylene, and rubber. Each material has its own strengths and weaknesses and should be given thought in accordance to the environmental conditions that the straps would be put into. The end offers choices between E-Track, J-Hook, S-Hook, Chain Hook, Delta Ring, Flat Hook, Loop, Snap Hook and others. These ends are for use in different fastening needs.
