There is a very big chance that this summer you would rather spend as much time as possible under the hot sun. Tanning comes to mind and so does just sitting there soaking in the warmth and feeling the heat slowly sink into and spread throughout your body. If you haven’t already done it, then now is probably the time to be running around looking for furniture that you can put in your garden. And if you’re looking for something that is both durable and good looking you would also have probably decided to get teak garden benches.

Teak is one of the strongest woods in the world. It is very resilient, tough as steel and yet manages to be as smooth as summer cherries. This wood is so reliable that as time goes by, just like any living person, it starts to turn silver grey, and that is about it – it can be said teak wood ages rather well. If you get around to actually putting teak garden benches, especially immovable ones, make sure that you have chosen the best spot because they are going to be there for a very long time.

By immovable teak garden benches it is meant there will be something keeping them in place. As an example, it there is a tree in the middle of the garden and not much space left an ideal garden bench would be one that makes use of the shade under the tree and goes around the trunk (have a look at the benches that are on offer at Garden Furniture Direct to get an idea).

Next, there are curved garden benches that can be put against, and following, any contours of the garden, whether those are of vegetation (bushes etc.) or the walls of the house or the perimeter fence. Finally, whatever space that remains can be filled with straight benches, individual chairs or even stools. In short, only your imagination can limit you when it comes to planning a place to soak some much wanted sun rays.

And even then, you need not really be limited. If you can’t picture yourself laid back out there, then make sure you go to the nearest place that sells teak garden benches and find other accessories that you can add. A good place to start with the garden bench under the tree would be to have one that goes outside the shade of the tree - a teak sun lounger. See what we mean?
